Elie Piha is a writer living in Ithaca, New York. He is a graduate of Cornell University’s MFA – Creative Writing Program. Elie’s worked as a bartender, an after school teacher, a warehouser, and served four years in the Army. His writing won the 2016 David Nathan Meyerson Award in Short Fiction in Southwest Review and came in third place in CRAFT‘s 2020 Short Fiction Contest. Elie’s writing can also be found or is forthcoming in War, Literature and the Arts and The SUN Magazine. Currently, Elie teaches Creative Writing at Cornell University. He is at work on a novel based on his short story “Mule.”
